Cape Leeuwin

Cape Leeuwin << LOO ihn >> lies at the western end of Flinders Bay, on the southwestern coast of Western Australia. A lighthouse stands at the end of the cape. In 1801, the explorer Matthew Flinders named the cape after a Dutch ship that had sailed along that coast in 1622.
