Slaney, River, is a river in the Republic of Ireland. It rises in the Wicklow Mountains and flows south for about 62 miles (100 kilometers) through the counties of Carlow and Wexford. The Slaney empties into the Irish Sea at Wexford Harbour. Important salmon fisheries are near the town of Wexford.
