Muslin

Muslin, << MUHZ luhn, >> is a closely woven white or unbleached cloth made from corded cotton yarn. It is named for the city of Mosul, in Iraq, where it was first made. The British call sheer cotton fabrics muslin. In the United States, muslin means a firm cloth for everyday use. Wide muslin is called sheeting.
